The NOMADE Leash

Two functions no ordinary leash has.

Most leashes do one thing: they connect you to your dog. The NOMADE Leash was built around the two moments an ordinary leash leaves you exposed — the second your dog lunges, and the moment you put them in the car.

The frog carabiner

Almost every leash on the market closes with a bolt snap: a thin sprung tongue resting against an open hook. Push it the wrong way against a collar ring and it opens. NOMADE uses a frog carabiner instead — the spring-gate design found on parachute and climbing hardware, where the gate closes into a captive housing rather than against thin air. Opening it takes a deliberate two-finger action. It does not open by accident, it does not open under load, and it does not open because your dog rolled onto it.

It is the single component on a leash where failure has consequences. We did not choose the cheap one.

The car restraint

The same leash clips straight into your car's seatbelt buckle. No second product to buy, nothing left behind at home. Your dog stays in one place — off your lap, out of the footwell, away from the driver's side — and you keep your eyes on the road. From the pavement to the passenger seat without unclipping a thing.

And everything you would expect

• Shock-absorbing bungee core — takes the shock out of sudden pulls, for your arm and for their neck.
• Traffic control handle — a second handle low on the lead, for close control near roads and in crowds.
• Reflective stitching — visible in headlights on evening walks.
• Adjustable 115 cm to 170 cm — short for the street, long for the corniche.
• Padded handle — comfortable over a full hour, not just the first ten minutes.

A note on the car attachment: it is a restraint. It keeps your dog secured in one place so they cannot roam the cabin or distract the driver. It is not a crash-tested harness and is not intended to replace one.
